Who is Michael Gray in episode 3 of Peaky Blinders?

Michael Gray, played by actor Finn Cole, is the son of Polly Shelby and former chief accountant of the Shelby gang. Michael leaves for New York at the end of season 4, where he runs the Shelby company, but loses millions in the Wall Street crash. Michael returns to England and is branded a traitor. Michael plots to usurp Tommy as head of the Shelby gang in Season 5, but fails.

So, how will the relationship between Tommy and Michael unfold in episode 3 of season 6? Here is what Peaky Blinders creator Stephen Knight sees it:

“I like the complexity of what happened with Michael, where he was ripped out of that village, but he wanted to be ripped off, he wanted out. And he became Tommy and he looks up to Tommy [and] wants Tommy’s approval, but he also wants to kill him.”

Who is Jack Nelson in Peaky Blinders?

“Uncle” Jack Nelson is Gina Gray’s (Anya Taylor-Joy) uncle and the leader of the Boston gang. He is a powerful figure with political ties to President Roosevelt and a thriving export business. Peaky Blinders Creator Stephen Knight has confirmed that the character is based on alleged bootlegger Joseph Kennedy Sr., father of JFK.

Nelson is played by 30-year-old Australian actor James Frecheville, who made his screen debut in episode 2 of season 6. It was a busy time for Tommy, with the arrival of “Uncle” Jack , the return of Alfie Solomons and the reappearance of Sir Oswald Mosley (plus his lover Diana Mitford).
