Kenyan rappers Buruklyn Boyz make Spotify’s Radar playlist

Their song “Nairobi” is on the playlist along with other African songs.

Kenyan rappers Buruklyn Boyz have joined Spotify’s Global Radar Artists list. Spotify’s Radar program aims to spotlight and help discover emerging artists around the world. It also connects emerging artists who are united by their expressions of humanity and core stories.

The Buruklyn Boyz are on the playlist along with a number of other emerging African artists including DBN GOGO, Ayra Starr, Black Sherif, Victony, BNXN.

The Buruklyn Boyz are a hip hop team led by Mr Right and Ajay who take pride in rapping their lives and being the standard bearers of Kenya’s Drill music movement. They have over 45,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

Since its launch, Radar has driven increased viewership and fostered relationships with fan artists. Under the program, these artists will receive editorial, on-platform and off-platform support from Spotify to help grow their respective fanbases. As part of its Global Hub launch, Spotify will prioritize promoting Radar Playlists, Radar Podcasts, Spotify Singles and Radar Artist Priority Releases across all regions.
