100% Kadhal film forged: GV Prakash Kumar, Shalini Pandey, Jayachitra, Thalaivasal Vijay, RV Udhayakumar
100% Kadhal film director: MM Chandramouli
100% Kadhal film score: 1 star
100% Kadhal is something however a cute love story. The movie begins in a resto-bar the place Balu Mahendra (GV Prakash Kumar) walks in a bridegroom’s apparel and narrates his previous. We await the stale concept of getting the hero lament over alcohol as to why he’s sad. Need I say extra?
But why did Chandramouli identify his protagonist “Balu Mahendra”? I don’t know. I feel he was additionally clueless like how I used to be all through. Moving on… Balu’s cousin Mahalakshmi (Shalini Pandey) walks into his life.
It is 2019, and we’ve a protagonist, who says, “Girls don’t have to study. Anyway, they will be married to an affluent guy.” Oh, then, in line with Balu, the “chicken-eating brains don’t function properly.” Mr Chandramouli, are you able to show this scientifically? Also, who gave you these concepts? I’m curious to know.
Balu thinks marks are the whole lot. He asks Mahalakshmi to commute by a share-auto as a result of she’s “not a bright student.” When she tops in school, Balu will get pissed off. 100% Kadhal rides on misogyny, sexism, objectification of ladies, narcissism, juvenile ego clashes, poisonous relationships and what not?
LOVE. Though Mahalakshmi and Balu use that phrase usually, it’s obvious they don’t say what they imply and that is downright horrible as they’re adults.
Balu is extra eager to discover Mahalakshmi’s navel than the rest. On the opposite hand, she’s keen to choose fights with Balu and make a fuss out of the whole lot. I’ve by no means seen two lead characters with a lot insecurity “romance” one another in Tamil cinema. 100% Kadhal is lifeless. It has no character improvement, no actual plot and no story. What’s extra beautiful is ignorance and the obvious lack of effort by the director, who appears clueless about how issues are introduced on display screen.
Simultaneously, we get a backstory of a grandmother character, performed by the veteran artiste, Jayachithra. She judges a girl by the garments they put on. Need I say extra, once more?
I used to be shocked when somebody informed 100% Love (2011) was a ‘blockbuster’ in Telugu. Because I’m wondering how a movie that discusses the important stats of a girl on a eating desk can turn out to be one of many biggest hits.
I thank my stars for not having watched the unique.
Had the makers titled the movie, ‘100% lust or 100% bullshit’, it will have made extra sense. This remake gives no purpose for its existence, I feel. For now, this one is my choose for the worst film I noticed in all of 2019.
